In our fermentation installation, we use a mixture of manure from our own pig farm, arable crops and organic residual products from the food industry. We have obtained a category-3 certification from the Netherlands Food and Consumer Product Safety Authority (NVWA) for this installation.
Even products that contain animal protein (e.g. unpacked food products, dairy, etcetera) can be processed into biogas and plant food.
Our sister company Kwaliflex BV is a major processor and supplier of the materials used in our bio-fermentation installation. The manure produced at our own farms and the digestate from the biogas installation are sustainably and biologically processed and used as plant food to replace chemical fertilisers.
Carbon credits may be issued through the Verified Carbon Standard project ID 337 for the greenhouse gas emission reductions or removals associated with manure management by B.V. Landgoed de Princepeel whose emissions footprint is changed by the project activities.
